Since this topic is still at the top I don't see a point in making another one. I have two more suggestions:
-An official "Who are you going to marry thread?" in the MFoMT board and the AnotherWL board. I don't think there are any at the moment, or at least any active ones, but there will definitely be at least one when the game comes out.
-A limit on the sizes of signatures.
-A set of rules
Akane came up with the idea on another thread and I sent her a PM wondering if we should actually make a suggestion, so we decided that it would be best to post it here to get member feedback.
Since there are some people that want to post random things what do you think of the idea of a random talk board where people can post whatever random things it is that they like? There would have to be some restrictions, of couse, such as:
-Post counts should be disabled
-The board should be a hidden board so the people who don't want to see random things don't have to see it
-A set of rules to go along with it
-The URL could be posted somewhere
-It would be a board mainly for posting games, not random spam
What do you guys think about this?

That sounds pretty good to me. Save for one thing:
I believe it might grow to replace the General Talk area.
Personally, I think that if you can't think of more than three words to say about something, it's best left unsaid.

maybe instead of just spam it could be a board for posting games?
You know "throw an item at the next poster", "stupid question, stupid answer" etc.

I don't really know.. There's alot of downfalls for it, too..
Not many forums have Spam boards, because it ends up becoming annoying after a while.

It might, but I like the idea of the board for posting games. That way the conversation would still be on the General Talk forum, but no one would be bothered by spam.
I should probably add another thing that I forgot to my first post.

And I thought we wanted to discourage spam. Why give it its own board? That would only encourage it, get people into the habit of it, and end up accidentally (or not so accidentally) posting spam in the other forums under the excuse "I thought it was the Spam board" or "I got so used to the spam board" or something along those lines.

That's true as well, especially when you put it that way considering there have been misplaced posts already. Come to think of it, this board would probably be best without a posting game or spam board because it's so large compared to the other I've seen with spam forums.

Exactly. I think you mods should also be able to relocate posts, too. After all, leaving them where they are rather create disruption and confusion. :/
So I think we should just nix this idea for a spam/game board.

I still like the games idea, maybe it could be a Sub-Board under Misc.? We'll probably have a whole list of ideas by the time our admin gets back!  |

That's a really good idea, Akane. Having it under Misc.(ellaneous), I mean. I like the thought that it would have posting games (not video games) to play to take up some boredom. Not to insult Harvest Moon for Girls, but I think it gets kind of boring after you've posted in everything. ^^

Dont laugh at me, but what is the posting game thing supposed to mean? Like we have a place to talk about other games, so would it be like rpg games or somthing?  Sorry i am so stupid... |

It would be posting games such as hurt and heal, guess the lyrics, or seconds games (but I don't think those would on this forum anymore).

It starts to get boring because it's hard to think up new threads that there aren't a hundred of already. I know when I get done posting, I go find something else to do.
Of course, I agree that that board should NOT count toward post count, since that's what a lot of people at another board I used to go to did. They posted in that forum just to get their post count up. To me, WHAT you say is more important to HOW MUCH you say.
Anyway, I still don't much like the idea, but if HM4Girls likes it, I just don't have to post there.
I'm just afraid that that forum will take up everyone's attention while the rest of the forum suffers.
