Hey, I'm not sure if any of you would have heard of this game before (it's older than most of us, I do believe) but in it, you live a life you choose, from before your birth (yup, before - stay in there a little while longer or be a good baby from the get go?) to when you die.
You can choose your career, but some you have to study for...you can have kids (even adopt them) and a partner, or you may choose not to. The only problem I can see shouldn't be a problem, and that's because of the game's age, the graphics are a downside...if you let it.
Oh, and there are some mature themes - the game will warn you, however, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem.
www.theblackforge.net/
That site has the game for online and offline playing. The rundown for both versions are:
Online
Pros: Better graphics, ability to use mouse, random events in youth occur, can play male or female from the one thing.
Cons: Can't be played offline, even if you do have the little window open, doesn't show final stats.
Offline
Pros: Faster once you get the hang of it, shows stats at death.
Cons: Four colours (including black and white), may not play on some machines due to being MS-DOS and too primitive for some to handle, no random events, male and female versions seperate, IIRC, some vignettes missing from male version.
Problem with both versions is that you grow and grow and grow and reach 80 and stay at 80, and there's no technological development...but I guess you can make that up.
So, what do you think? Did I waste time posting the link or did I luck out and find something worth a shout out?
