By tradtional, I mean games like HM for SNES, HM64, BTN, FoMT Non-tradtional would be STH, and the Wonderful Life games I prefer tradtional games myself.

I like the traditional games much better. StH had great characters, but the gameplay was lacking.

What makes them traditional?

i guess because they are older and some of the first HM game made for each system

No, not exactly. While it's true that most of the non-tradtional games are newer, MFoMT is a tradtional game, but it's also new. Tradtional means the gameplay...It's hard to explain

I also prefer traditional. :3 I liked FoMT and BtN better than StH. I just hope MM is good, too!

I never played STH so I can't really say anything about it. I heard it wasn't THAT great of a game, though.
Although I have this obsession with HM: Another Wonderful Life right now, I'd have to go with traditional too. However, it makes me mad that your kid can't grow up and your life basically just STOPS there. I kinda like how they made HM:AWL a little more realistic because you can actually die and your kid can grow up.

Personally...I'm a bit torn.
In the traditional games; the graphics mostly suck...but they have some weird charm to them that I just love. Maybe it's the characterization in HM64 or something. I read into the characters a lot, if you think about it the people in the traditional games have pretty good stories...but in the non-traditional games you don't ever learn much about the stories behind the characters.
In the non-traditional games; there are some serious perks. All new casts, different challenges (in AWL with your child growing up, in STH...well, it's totally different). The graphics got better, but you didn't have the usually box with the person's picture, just a close up of the character (I'm not sure which one I like better, I'd sort of like to see both, even though that might result in a messy, unorganized screen). The biggest perk was the kid growing up in AWL, and people AGING. D: No one else got married but you though. I also miss how in HM64 the other characters had children. I would have liked to seen other people get married and have children around the same time your character does so then when they ALL grow up (not just stay babies forever) your child can choose to marry one of them (it would've been fun to continue on playing as your son/daughterrr)
>_>; Sorry, that was long. I sort of went into rant mode.
