Because you don't have to upgrade your hammer as much as the axe to get rid of 'em.

I see... You know those really HUGE boulders bigger than regular boulders? What kind of hammer do you need to break those? Can you even break them at all?
The summer music really sounds 'piratey'.

Arrgh, matey... Just witnessed the Fireworks festival. It's a shame I had to watch with Patrick and Kassey though. OMG, I just grew a Giant Onion! Thomas and the Harvest Sprites from FoMT helped me get it out. Wow. It was my first onion harvest too.

That sucks. Not even a Mythic Hammer? Hmm... Maybe I'll try that out.
Woot. Around 30 sprites in my first year.

It's not on the land you can use tools on, so you have to use the sword to get rid of them.

Wait, you mean you only crushed those huge boulders with the sword? (I'm not talking about breaking rocks to unlock hidden waterfall field.))

Is this game really as glitchy as people say it is? I heard you can't even marry the witch since you can't trigger her purple heart event.

I wouldn't doubt it. Games now these days are pretty rushed. I find huge 'blippy' issues with games that I know the testers had to see when testing the game. I guess they just get too lazy to fix them. *Then they got the nerve to sell that rushed piece of crap for 60 bucks!*

I know that The Sims expansion packs are pretty rushed, but at least you can get patches. For this game I think I'll pass on it because I had planned on marrying the witch. Hopefully HMDSFG will come out and be less glitchy.

From what I've also heard, there is some glitch that causes you to get a billion gold and another in which you somehow can't get Buckwheat Flour at the New Year's Festival and can't marry the Goddess because it's one of the shippable items (and you have to ship one of every item there is.)
I have a hunch that DSFG will also have glitches. They all do.

That's true, but not being able to marry the Goddess or the Witch (among quite a few others) is pretty big compared to some of the other glitches in past games.
I'm glad I waited before buying it. I'll do the same for the other Harvest Moon games from now on as well.

Well, I'm close to Fall now. I put my birthday on the 29th.
Say, you know the birthday event that happens in M/FoMT where you enter your house after 6 and your spouse makes you dinner? To anyone who's married, does that still happen? I'm having my doubts since there are no alternative birthdays...
