I've read about how, in Sprite Station for Girls, you can choose not to get married, and you can just become best friends with one of the girls and then you live together. Hm. I think I'll stick to the old fashioned thing. Getting married. What do you guys think? Have you heard anything else about this?

I heard there aren't any plans yet for HM:DSFG to come out here, but if it does I'd consider that even though you can only live with the special girls. I don't like any of the guys except for Steiner, but I am disappointed that you still get a child. I was hoping this would be a way around the child thing.
I wonder if Natsume would keep it in because of the controversy that could happen. I know some people on FoGU were saying it was gross and I'm sure some people would take it out of context.

Some people on FoGU need to grow up. I think it's a cute idea. Just because you're living a friend doesn't mean you're gay or anything and how people think that's gross I have no idea. I actually kinda like the idea. I'm just wondering, though, if that's how the game ends. Kinda like when you marry Jamie.

It's really annoying. It's just like saying that roommates in real life are gross.
The game still goes on and you receive a child instead of having one. I'm curious to see what they say to you when you live with them.

Yeah, my point exactly. I'm willing to bet they don't say anything lovey-dovey, but they probably say parental stuff, like, "Be sure to feed the baby at exactly 6" or... I don't know, I'm not a parent. Y'know, I would actually like to play a video game where the main character could either marry a girl or a boy. Seriously, that'd be cool. I've always secretly wanted a Jill/Ann pairing. I just think the two of them would be cute. Yeah, I'm done.

I think it's fine to have a friend that lives with you. It's just that the way FoGU explained it (with the "friendship ceremony just like a wedding" and the giving of the blue feather) that makes it seem kind of weird.
Plus, you have a child. I mean, I know it's given to you, but it's kind of weird to be raising an adoptive(?) child with your best friend. Maybe it's just me.

A Harvest Moon where you could choose your gender and marry anyone would be interesting since they've solved the way you have a child. There may be controversy, but The Sims 2 has something similar and I haven't heard any complaints about that (although I haven't really looked, to be honest).
The friendship ceremony may be a bit odd, but I think that "gross" is the wrong word for it like people on FoGU had used.

I find this a bit odd. But hey this is a cool idea i am all for gay people's rights. I'm not gay but they can do whatever. I think it is a good idea.

It's not a same-sex relationship, though. It's just roommates, which is why it's strange people are calling it gross.

Yea, that is pretty darn odd for people to think it's gay for same sex roommate. What part of ROOMMATES do they not understand? I don't think I'd have a roommate on the game though, I'd rather have my triflin’ husband...

I think people think it's weird when you have the girls living with you is because they say the same things when you're married to them as a guy.

Do they really? So they say things like, "I love you; you always make me the happiest girl in the world"?
But even then, still... it's no big deal. I think it's like getting grossed out over cooties - it's childish. Even if they were allowed to get married, I realize it's against some religious views, but it's not GROSS, it's just love.

I don't have much of a problem with it. But Natsume may with the whole needing the Big Bed, Blue Feather, Heart Events, and rescuing the Harvest Goddess... It's possible they won't translate HM: DS FG 'cause of this.

Aw, are you kidding me? That'd be awful... I have been looking forward to this game (okay, so I've been looking forward to ALL the upcoming HM games XD) for a while now. Did you hear about that or is that your own personal theory?
