Fairyfriend, you can use the change date code to put it December 31, then go to sleep. It'll be one year then.
Then, you do it over and over till you get on the 55 year to see what happens. Smart eh? I thought of it ;D

www.gamefaqs.com go to Gameboy Advanced at the top, then go to Harvest Moon FoMT and go to codebreaker codes and look for Change Date code.
